Top 10 Bestselling MTG Cards of the Week – 08112023 #10 Rejuvenating Springs and Spectator Seating (Borderless)
March 11, 2025It’s been a week since the release of Commander Masters, and many players took advantage of Free Fall Friday (and the following weekend) to snap up as many Commander singles as possible, as many sellers took a race to the bottom in an attempt to sell their Commander Masters singles stock. While prices have recovered somewhat since the initial dip, the release offers plenty of affordability for players who keep to a budget.
Another exciting tidbit is the Banned & Restricted (B&R) saw plenty of movement on the card Preordain, which is now unbanned in Modern. As a result, it’s driven the price of the Common to a new high, where the Secret Lair and the Retro printing in The Brother’s War Commander Precons have risen in price the most. Since there were few changes to this B&R, it’s given many competitive players the insurance to acquire The One Ring and Orcish Bowmasters, which were two The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth cards speculated to see a ban in Modern.
Since both of these cards dodged a banning, it’s risen the price of these two cards since Wizards of the Coast now operate their B&R annually, which has essentially given players a whole year to play with these powerful cards. With all this in mind, let’s see which cards have sold best throughout the week.
Many of the Commander Masters singles went into free fall on release day into the following weekend, which meant many players snagged Rejuvenating Springs, Spectator Seating, and the rest of the flexible Land cycle for an impressively affordable price. A trend you’ll see in this week’s bestsellers is the emphasis on Borderless printings, as many of these aren’t much more than their traditional variants. Many Commander players love incorporating exotic foiling or stunning Showcase cards in their favorite decks, and it only becomes more worthwhile if the price difference is marginal.
Affordable, dual-color mana options are difficult to come by in Commander, as these often drive a higher price margin due to their versatility and demand. With cards such as Undergrowth Stadium, Training Center, and Vault of Champions seeing a much-needed reprint in Commander Masters, it’s driven down the price a fair bit. Although there’s been some bounce since the original drop on Commander Masters release day, these are still excellent pickups as these are evergreen cards in Commander, meaning you’re getting a ton of mileage out of these going forward. In terms of the safest cards you can pick up from Commander Masters, it’s definitely these if you are looking to build Commander decks in the future. While they may not be the most Finance-savvy purchase in terms of flipping for profit, these are perfect for Commander players who want to keep their wallets happy.
