Given that searching your library is such a huge part of the Commander format, it’s little wonder that people hate Opposition Agent so much. Those casting this card into a tutor or a fetchland cackle with glee at having “got” their opponents, enjoying nicking the best cards from around the table for themselves. Most EDH players crack their fetches and cast their tutors into open mana without thinking (not enough people were around for Aven Mindcensor, and it shows), and Opposition Agent is here to punish you for your irredeemable crime of attempting to search your library into three open mana.
